The Chalmers faculty at CBI runs three of the courses of the master's programme: MEI (Management & Economics of Innovation) at Chalmers University of Technology.Creating New BusinessBy Sören Sjölander. This course deals with managing business innovation, the creation and development of new, innovative businesses in established and new firms. Particular attention is given to the entrepreneurial side of business development. [Chalmers student portal] Managing Development ProjectsBy Jan Wickenberg. The course is designed to give a thorough introduction to project management, with a special emphasis on the management of product development projects in technology-based firms. This course aims at preparing students for different types of management tasks by giving them a thorough understanding of strategy and organization, with a special emphasis on R&D activities. The aim of this course is to provide an opportunity for students to apply the concepts, theories and analytical models learnt so far in the MEI program in order to address one specific question or problem while carrying out an empirical investigation.[Chalmers student portal] MEI Seminar Course – Perspectives on Innovation ManagementBy Maria Elmquist. This is a seminar based course on a relatively high academic level. The aim is to introduce students to academic reflection and writing in the general field of innovation management.
