2011

Axtech. The goal of the project at Axtech AB was to create and evaluate new business models in two customer segments. The results will be used in the formation of Axtech AB’s growth strategy, product strategy and pricing model.

Volvo Technology AB. The BIP project at Volvo Technology aimed to explore business opportunities related to a patented technology developed at the company. The conducted work resulted in a set of business ideas, that in turn were further developed into tentative business models. One of these was transformed into a business plan.

2010

MicVac. The project investigated what value MicVac’s system solution creates for the customer through of a comparison between MicVac’s system solution and competing technologies. The results on the competitiveness of the micvac-method will be used to further positioning the offering and structure the firm’s sales strategy.

2008/2009

During the end of 2008 we initiated two new BIP projects that run during spring 2009, one at the med tech company Qbtech and the 2nd at Göteborg Energi that thus came back for a 2nd project.

Qbtech - The project aimed at developing the business model for Qbtech, a company specialized in a diagnosis support tool for ADHD and Parkinson’s disease.

Göteborg Energi The project was a continuation of the previous project, with a narrowed focus to explore and detail a specific sub set of potential business opportunities.

2007/2008

During 2008, CBI has finalized the three BIP projects that were started during autumn 2007 - Geveko, Göteborg Energi and Icomera:

Geveko – Exploring Industry Stages and Innovative Capabilities in an Incumbent Firm. The purpose was to determine the stage of the road marking and intelligent transport systems industries, and investigate the possibility to conduct new businesses in the industries. The master thesis that was the 2nd deliverable from this project was published (VDM (Verlag Dr. Müller; www.vdm-verlag.de)) in December 2008.

Göteborg Energi – New Businesses based on a New Technology. The purpose was to evaluate the potential of new businesses from an installed wireless network.
Project team: Daniel Kristensson, Marcus Linder, Mats Magnusson and Jennie Björk
Company representatives: Anders Dahl, Thomas Arnewid and Håkan Mattiasson

Icomera – New Businesses based on Information and Communication Technologies. The purpose was to identify what possible ICT solutions Icomera could provide to the railway industry and their potential value.
