The "Super talent Maria Elmquist" has been interviewed in Globe Forum (Swedish) about how many processes in large firms unfortunately counter, rather than facilitate, innovation.

Two pieces about CBI was recently published at the Chalmers frontpage and the website of the department of Technology and management of economics. In both, professor Sofia Börjesson is interviewed and and many of our recent news are brought up. (Such as Joakim Björkdahl and Henrik Berglund being promoted to associate professors and associate professor Maria Elmquist being named super talent of 2011 by Veckans Affärer.)

After giving his docent lecture on Firm Capabilities and Business Models: An Innovation Perspective on February 10, Joakim Björkdahl has now been promoted to Associate Professor at CBI. Congratulations!

This week, CBI co-hosted a research workshop on Design Thinking research with the Business & Design Lab at the University of Gothenburg, welcoming both Swedish and international invited researchers to discuss current and future research on the topic. It was the launch of a small North-european network for academics interested in Design Thinking research. For more information about future gatherings, contact Maria Elmquist.

Sofia Börjesson has been promoted full professor with a chair - Congratulations! Welcome to her inauguration lecture on January 27 at 12 in the Departmnet seminar room - the title of the lecture is: Action Research in Innovation Management Research.

Maria Elmquist has been named a Super talent by Swedish business magazine Veckans Affärer - Congratulations! They ranked her nr 10 on a list of 101 talents - for more info see this article at Veckans affärer.

CBI is growing! Associate Professor Magnus Holmén and PhD student Sara Fallahi join the CBI team as of January 1st. Christian Sandström has also come back to CBI as a senior researcher on part time in addition to his post-doc Wallander Scholarship. And finally, PhD student Lisa Carlgren is now a full time member of CBI. We are very happy about all these additions and look forward to working more with them!
